Chantel Nunn

Senior Psychotherapist

Chantel is a Senior Psychotherapist who works with all ages. She holds a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy and is clinically registered with PACFA. Chantel has worked across both primary and secondary school settings and currently supports the training of future therapists through her work with the Adelaide University, contributing to the development of emerging clinicians.

Chantel has experience supporting clients with a wide range of presentations, including

  • complex trauma (with a strong interest in working with sexual abuse)

  • developmental trauma

  • grief and loss

  • dissociative experiences, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)

  • neurodivergent individuals, including within an autism-affirming framework

  • behavioural and emotional regulation difficulties

  • relationship and family challenges,

  • suicidal ideation

  • parent coaching

  • identity exploration, and sexual health education across diverse abilities and orientations.

  • life transitions and stressors in childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.

Her therapeutic approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and integrative, with therapy shaped around the unique needs of each individual or family rather than a one-size-fits-all model. Grounded in systemic and attachment-informed frameworks, Chantel thoughtfully integrates a range of approaches, including somatic, expressive, neuropsychotherapy, cognitive behavioural, emotionally focused, and acceptance and commitment therapies. Sessions are guided by curiosity, compassion, and collaboration, with a strong emphasis on safety, pacing, and relational trust.

Chantel adapts her work to suit different life stages and contexts. With children and young people, she incorporates Play Therapy and Expressive Therapies—such as art, play, and movement—to support expression beyond words. With adults, couples, and families, she draws on CBT, ACT, DBT, and Systemic Family Systems, supporting clients to understand patterns, strengthen communication, and move toward meaningful and sustainable change.
